Blue Spruce Park Chickadees:

Feeding Chickadees Out of My Hand
near Indiana, Pennsylvania

 "Chickadee Pathway"

Accessible Pathway Sidewalk to popular BSP hand-feeding area for birds.

The event that stimulated the idea to build an accessible pathway sidewalk to the area where chickadees are usually hand fed during the winter occurred on December 13, 2022. Mary Roellinger, visiting from Bethel Park, near Pittsburgh, PA, was able to feed birds from her hand when birds being hand fed at the edge of the woods were enticed by Ray Winstead one step at a time up to Mary in her wheelchair in the playground.
