Before Indiana University of Pennsylvania standardized all its academic websites to a business model style, this was the front page of the IUP Department of Biology website in 2001 - created, constantly updated, and maintained by Ray Winstead ("Webmaster") - who also took the center photo of the Red-shouldered Hawk. (The butterflies were animated with a slow wingbeat - and the owl blinked and winked. Of course, the website was designed for desktop screens and not cell phone screens.)
This website grew from a website developed and made public first on a server (maintained by Tom Kirkpatrick) in the IUP College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics before IUP even had its own website - and was the first academic website linked from the IUP website.
