Dear Professsor Winstead

Thank you for your e-mail. Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying. We know our correspondents appreciate a quick response and I regret that you have had to wait so long on this occasion.

It was very kind of you to write to us with your enquiry regarding the interview you conducted for the "Today" programme on 15 February on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of England's "Decimal Day". I have been in touch with the department who are responsible for BBC Radio 4 Online but I understand it will not be possible for us to send you a copy of the original as it is a 30-minute real audio file which is too big. However, we do not have a problem with you recording the item yourself, if you have the facilities to do this, and actually storing it on your site - provided it is properly attributed to the BBC and there is a link to the "Today" site.

In the meantime, I have been assured that the interview will remain on our site until we have run out of server space, which is likely to be at least for another year. I am sorry I cannot send you a more helpful reply, but I trust the above information will be of some use. Thank you again for taking the trouble to contact us on this matter.
