EDW was here at Fort Davis as Post Commander, responsible for defending one of the Panama Canal's Locks nearby - the first set of locks on the Atlantic Side - against a possible attack during the Korean War. Today, "the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá (Centro Regional de Colón) is located at Antiguo Fuerte Davis in Colón, Panama, which is the same location as the historical Fort Davis."
